Central Jakarta Administration will back to hold Pasar Baru and Jalan Jaksa Festivals. As planned, both festivals will be held in mid-August.

"The concept is integrated, eventually at Jalan Antara (Pasar Baru) itself, there will be Betawian fashion exhibition such as kebaya (javanese traditional attire) and batik, Betawian culinary exhibition such as dodol (sweet toffee-like confection) and roti buaya (crocodile bread), souvenirs exhibition such as fan, ondel-ondel (giant effigies) and museum building miniatures," said Head of Central Jakarta Tourism and Cultural Sub-Department, Deddy Soetardi, Wednesday (7/1). 

Soetardi stated at the latest 5 years, tourist visits decreased in the area. It is because physically environment changing and various facilities along the road. 

"Transportation mode is one of the causes. If the terminal in Lapangan Banteng was formerly still exist, Kemayoran Airport was also close, but now the closest access is only Gambir Train Station," he explained. 

According to him, foreign tourists prefer to come to Kemang, South Jakarta. In the location, the development of entertainment locations and food place is certainly becoming a primadona.
